Maîtresse (1974) Trailer

This should be a suitably perverted start to the second month of the year. As a fan of controversial, shall we say ‘challenging’ cinema any restricted material usually jumps onto the watch list, after many years of painful masochism the notorious Maîtresse  finally arrived in the post this morning;

It’s directed by the prestigious Oscar nominated sadist Barbet Schroeder in one of his early flirtatious with the depraved, with the four minutes and 47 seconds of material excised in 1981 finally restored. Hopefully the film will be (ahem) hard to beat?…..
